INGREDIENTS

  • 1 bunch kale, tough stems removed

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1 daikon radish or 5-6 round red radishes, leaves removed

  • 2 to 4 garlic cloves, peeled and minced

  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce

  • 1 teaspoon apple cider or balsamic vinegar

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet of pate brisée, chilled (we used half of our homemade pie dough)

  • 2 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil

  • 3 bell peppers (different colors), stemmed, cored, seeded, washed and thinly sliced

  • 1/2 onion, thinly sliced

  • coarse sea salt

  • ground black pepper

  • 4 eggs

  • 2 egg yolks

  • 1 cup milk

  • 1 cup half and half cream

  • 1 ½ to 2 pounds Japanese or Chinese eggplant

  • 4 - 6 Tablespoons cornstarch

  • 3 Tablespoons peanut or vegetable oil plus more as needed

  • 2 Tablespoons Asian toasted sesame oil

  • 5 cloves garlic minced

  • 1 Tablespoon minced fresh ginger

  • 2 Tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce plus more as needed

  • Sliced scallions or microgreens for garnish

  • 1 1/2 cups cooked navy beans, drained & rinsed

  • ¼ cup Lemon Vinaigrette

  • roasted radishes, halved or quartered

  • 2-3 thinly sliced red radishes

  • 1/4 cup pine nuts

  • 1 tablespoon capers

  • 1/4 cup Radish Green Pesto, (or any pesto)

  • 1/4 cup fresh mint leaves

  • 2 tablespoons shaved pecorino or Parmesan, optional

  • Additional lemon juice, optional

  • Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Garlic chives

  • 5 large Eggs

  • ¼ teaspoon Salt Add to eggs

  • 1/16 teaspoon Salt Add to stir fry garlic chives

  • 1 tablespoon Vegetables oil (½ tablespoon stir fry garlic chives and ½ tablespoon stir fry egg mixture.)

  • 1 large (1¼ lbs) eggplant, cut into ⅓-inch cubes

  • Salt

  • 6 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil, plus more for serving

  • 2 medium zucchini (about 1 lb), cut into ⅓-inch cubes

  • 1 medium yellow onion, finely chopped

  • 1 red, orange or yellow bell pepper, cut into ¼-inch dice

  • 5 large cloves garlic, chopped

  • 5 large vine-ripened tomatoes (1¾ lbs), cut into ⅓-inch cubes, with their juices

  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste

  • 2 teaspoons fresh chopped thyme, plus more for serving

  • ¾ teaspoon sugar

  • ¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

  • 3 tablespoons chopped fresh basil
